GEAC blazes new trails at 2013 Annual Conference

More than 160 advancement professionals from colleges, universities and technical colleges all across Georgia gathered at Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa for the 2013 GEAC Annual Conference.

Held Nov. 20-22 in the shadow of Georgia’s highest peak, this year’s conference welcomed representatives from more than 40 different public and private institutions for three days of sessions and speakers tailored specifically to meet the needs of higher education professionals working in the areas of alumni relations, advancement services, communications/marketing and development. Highlights included keynote presentations by Lori Croy, director of web communications at the University of Missouri, and retired Brigadier General Jeff Foley.

The annual conference provided the perfect opportunity to recognize excellence within the GEAC community. Recipients of this year’s GEAC Awards included:
